I’m Dawnna! I am a wife to an amazing husband and mother to three beautiful amazing children! I am an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. What that means is I help people discover what their personal health and wellness issues are, how they intersect, and how it affects their overall self. I help develop ways to overcome those issues and pursue health goals whether it is losing weight, reduce stress, sleep better, reduce cravings, help digestive issues, preventative strategies, and other ailments. As well as learning to balance out “life”. I have walked through a long journey of health over the years with not only myself but my family. I have learned and experienced ways of healing and living a happy, healthy, balanced lifestyle and am so excited to help guide others needing/wanting to hop on the path to good health!

About Dawnna
HELPING PEOPLE FIND THEIR “TRUE” SELF BY DISCOVERING WHAT “HEALTH” REALLY IS AND WHAT IT MEANS TO THEM!
I began my journey to good health back in 2010 after my third child was born. I struggled with migraines(and everything that goes along with that), continuous weight gain, sluggishness, digestive issues, mood swings, anxiety, and depression. I literally felt like I was dying! I went to many doctors who ran several tests and could not figure out what was wrong with me. I was constantly being told to basically suck it up and that’s how life was with 3 little ones! I spent many days anxiously awaiting my husband to get home from work so I could run to the shower, which was my “out”, and bawl my eyes out. I felt like I was living a not so pleasant dream every day. I couldn’t be the mom or wife I needed or desired to be for my family. All I wanted was to feel good. I refused to accept that this was just my life now. I finally went and saw a holistic doctor who reassured me I wasn’t crazy and wouldn’t feel this way forever. Turns out I had thyroid issues, gut infections, and vitamin deficiencies. I did lots of research as to the root of it all and discovered food and lifestyle was the culprit! I was able to heal through good nutrition. My children have severe food allergies which motivated me even more to do my research and learn more about all of this. My family and I were a testimony to family and friends. I was so passionate about nutrition and healing that I decided to pursue a career out of it so I could reach out to other moms and families who are going through similar situations as I was. What perfect way to be able to do that than as a holistic health coach?! So I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition which is an online Health Coach Training Program. I graduated from the program in March 2016. During that time I had many life changing situations and was really able to grow myself as an individual. I now have my own practice living my dream of helping others who struggle with similar health issues as I had, plus more! As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach now, I base my practice on balancing all aspects of life which includes nutrition as well as the personal growth aspects of love, relationship, fitness, career, and spiritual practice. I believe that in order to have the good quality of life we all need to really be and stay healthy, we need balance in both primary foods and secondary foods. Primary being what we eat on a plate and secondary being what feeds our soul which are those 5 personal growth aspects(love, relationship, fitness, career, and spiritual practice). Which is what I teach in my health coaching programs. I believe in bio-individuality in that no one diet works for everyone. Each person has very specific needs for their own health and many factors play into that. Listening to your body is key when it comes to knowing what foods it needs, when it needs them, and what is best for you. As a health coach, I work with clients to really dive in and guide them in figuring out what works for them as an individual. As far as what their dietary and physical needs are and what their true desires and dreams are in life. Good nutrition is just part of what we need as human beings!
